Organic social media

There are countless ways to build and connect with your community on social media platforms.

Here are a few to chew on.

Social Media Marketing

The more traffic you drive to your website, the better it will rank in searches like Google. Don’t you want to be the top of your game? Your social media is not just for making friends, it’s for converting people to your site. Where they will obviously fall in love with you. Win win!

Brand loyalty is real. If you bought a really nice car, and every once in a while the car manufacturer or dealer popped up on your feed and reminded you how great that car was, it would reinforce your purchase decision and you might even tell your friends about what a great car, dealer or service you experienced.

Having a meaningful social media strategy is a delicious way to really nurture relationships with current and new customers and community members. When done right, it builds on your brand presence and connects with people where they already hang out – social media! You can impact and even retain your existing customers by meeting your loyal followers where they are.

Why organic social media matters.

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat – depending on what you sell, there are several social media platforms crawling with your ideal clients. But, does the idea of getting started on social make you nervous?

This is an area where many people throw in the towel because there are so many platforms, it’s enough to make your head spin. We suggest taking it slow. Choose one or two platforms and get really comfortable there. Start showing up, interacting with your audience, and then when you’re ready, you can move on to another platform.

Confused about what to say? Start by joining the conversation your clients already have going in their head. Not sure what that is? Ask them! And for a perfectly executed campaign, ask us!

“Social Media can provide a conversational extension to a B2B company’s nurturing programs. Social Media gives us the opportunity to humanize our communications and make our companies more approachable.”

The monthly cadence of organic social media.

Your involvement is not necessary if you trust us to manage your social media completely, as many clients do!  However, in the early stages, as we get to know your preferences and work with your brand guide, clients are usually involved at key intervals.  In this example we will explain your touch points as if we were planning ahead for the month of December.

December’s posts are complete and ready to be scheduled by November 30th!  So for the month of November you will be working on preparing for December’s organic posts.

Here are the times you’ll note on your calendar to work with your account manager on content and approvals.

Nov 1st thru 5th – Discuss and provide any pertinent information that should be posted in December.  You may have a company anniversary, perhaps a shout out to an employee who has been with you for 10 years, an annual pig roast, a hot sale that only happens in December etc.  The first week of November you will provide these and discuss strategy so that they can be sure to be included in December’s work!

  • 10th – review your first round of posts, make edits and comments
  • 20th – review your second round of posts, make edits and comments
  • 30th – review the final round of posts, approve and let the magic happen!
  • The next month, you start over with the new themes for January.

Note – if one of these dates falls on a weekend, we will schedule time with you before or after as necessary

“Social media is not a media. The key is to listen, engage, and build relationships.”

“The most successful marketer becomes part of the lives of their followers. They follow back. They wish happy birthday. They handle problems their customers have with products or service. They grow their businesses and brands by involving themselves in their own communities.”

Marsha Collier, speaker and business author
